Arm balances have a reputation as daunting, for advanced practitioners only, all-or-nothing. Most of that reputation isn't earned. What actually gets you off the ground in Crow Pose is a short list of things done well: where your weight sits, how your elbows track, and whether you trust yourself enough to lean forward. This workshop is built around that short list.
Chris will break Crow Pose down to what genuinely matters - the alignment cues that make the difference between straining and floating - so you're building the pose on solid form rather than muscling your way into it. Alongside the technical side, real space is given to the part most workshops skip: the moment of committing your weight onto your hands. Fear is a normal, expected part of learning to arm balance, and Chris will guide you through ways to work with it directly, rather than around it, so your first flights feel supported rather than sudden.
By the end of the session, you'll have the tools to keep building Crow Pose in your own practice - with an approach that stays playful and light rather than gritted-teeth, because that's genuinely how the strength develops best.
No previous arm balance experience necessary. This is the true starting point!
Want to continue on? We have another workshop this evening that picks up straight after this one at 7.30pm, moving into Side Crow and Koundinyasana. Book both for a full evening of arm balance practice.
