Deepen Your Practice and Study
Yoga x Life is more than weekly classes. Deepen is where we gather the pathways for people who want to go further: focused workshops, structured teacher trainings, immersive retreats, and alumni spaces that keep the work alive after an intensive.
Whether you’re feeling ready for more serious study, a transformational retreat, or simply a deeper way of engaging with yoga in everyday life, this is where to begin.
Choose your pathway
There is no single way to deepen. Some people want a professional training, some are drawn towards ceremonial and transformational work, and some need the space of retreat in order to listen more clearly and reconnect.
Explore four pathways to deeper practice.
Workshops and events
Deepening your practice does not always begin with a major commitment. More often, it begins in the middle of an ordinary week through workshops, special classes, and events that sit alongside your regular practice and open up a little more time, space, and focus than a standard class can offer. At Yoga x Life in Newcastle, our workshops and special events create room to pause, explore, and follow themes that deserve more depth, whether through movement, breathwork, meditation, yoga philosophy, somatic enquiry, restorative practice, creativity, or seasonal reflection.
These sessions are designed to help you explore yoga in a more spacious and intentional way. Some focus on practical skill and embodied understanding, such as functional movement, mobility, alignment, and expanded flow; others create space for nervous system regulation, introspection, ritual, or contemplative practice through yin yoga, meditation, ceremony, and slower forms of enquiry.
Whether you are looking for a one-off yoga workshop in Newcastle, a special class to support your current season of life, or an inspiring event that reconnects you to practice, this part of Yoga x Life offers a flexible and welcoming place to begin.

International Yoga Retreats
Our yoga retreats offer immersive space to practise, reflect, restore, and reconnect in a more spacious way than everyday life often allows. From Ibiza to Bali, Morocco and beyond, Yoga x Life retreats bring together yoga, meditation, community, beautiful environments, and carefully held teaching spaces that support both deep rest and genuine inner work.
Each retreat is designed to be more than a break or a holiday. These experiences create time for extended practice, thoughtful conversation, nourishing rhythms, and the kind of perspective that can be hard to access in the middle of normal routines, making them ideal for students who want to deepen their yoga practice while also being held by place, atmosphere, and community.
Whether you join us for an energising week of practice in Ibiza, a more reflective retreat further afield, or an experience connected to one of our deeper study paths, retreats offer a powerful way to step out of the everyday and return with renewed clarity, steadiness, and inspiration.
Warriors of Light
Warriors of Light is a transformational training path through the wisdom and practices of Inca shamanism, offered through Yoga x Life in Newcastle and in powerful retreat settings beyond the UK. Rooted in the Q’ero lineage, the training unfolds through four paths and includes energy medicine, despacho ceremony, journeying, rites of passage, and deep personal work for those called towards healing, service, and awakening.
Led within a small-group, in-person format, Warriors of Light offers a rare opportunity to engage a living lineage in a way that is both grounded and expansive. It supports not only spiritual growth and personal healing, but also the cultivation of practical tools and ceremonial understanding that can continue to shape how you live, serve, and relate to the world around you.
For some, this begins with an introductory weekend or workshop in Newcastle; for others, it becomes a longer path of training and retreat. However you enter, Warriors of Light offers a coherent and carefully held journey for those who feel a genuine call to ancestral wisdom, energy work, and transformative study.
Workshops and special events in Newcastle
Our workshops and special events create space to pause, focus and explore themes that need more time than a regular class allows. These sessions blend practice, study and reflection through a variety of somatic work, philosophy, breath, shamanic elements, creative inquiry and more, so you can deepen your understanding in a topic of your choice!
Our different tiers of membership include access to our special classes, events, and special events. So if you are looking for more than a weekly routine of classes you can explore our memberships and their inclusions here.
Expect:
Longer, more focused sessions around specific topics.
Opportunities to explore elements like breath, nervous system support, anatomy, sequencing or mythology in more detail.
A supportive group environment that gives you time to ask questions and truly integrate what you learn.
You can also access many events directly through the booking timetable or app, but this page gives you the bigger picture of what is coming up over the next few months. It is the easiest way to see the range of events at a glance, without having to click through one day at a time, and although some offerings that sit outside standard studio pricing, such as day workshops, treatment days, teacher trainings, retreats, will not always appear in the Studio app. The events listed here will always link you through to the relevant booking page or next step.
Teacher training, workshops and continuing education
Our teacher training programmes invite you into more structured, immersive learning. They’re designed not only for those who want to teach, but also for practitioners who feel drawn to study yoga in more depth and include topics like technique, philosophy, anatomy, nervous system support and teaching craft.
200 Hour Foundation Yoga Teacher Training
Our 200 Hour Foundation Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive, experiential programme for students who want to understand yoga more deeply and, for many, begin teaching with confidence. It is fully accredited by Yoga Pros, taught in person in Newcastle, and designed around small-group learning, practical teaching experience, collaborative study, and embodied understanding rather than surface-level certification alone.
This training is also for committed practitioners who want to deepen their relationship to posture, breath, meditation, sequencing, philosophy, the nervous system, and the craft of holding space in a way that is real, grounded, and sustainable. More than a certification, it offers:
A comprehensive foundation in asana, sequencing, breath and meditation.
Immersive study of yoga philosophy and how it applies in modern life.
Practical teaching skills, mentoring and feedback in a supportive environment.
A community of fellow trainees and alumni who continue to practise and grow together.
Workshops and continuing education
For experienced practitioners and graduates, we also offer advanced trainings, focused modules and other specialist workshops and programmes. These are designed to deepen and diversify your teaching and personal practice with more nuance and precision.
If you’re unsure whether training is right for you, you can read more on the training page or contact us to talk through where you are in your practice and what kind of deepening might fit.
Retreats in Ibiza, Bali and beyond
Retreats offer a different kind of deepening: less about adding more, and more about creating enough space for practice to land. Through yoga, reflection, rest, nature, community, ceremony, and nourishing settings, these journeys allow people to step out of routine and return to what matters with more clarity and steadiness.
Some retreats are restorative, some are creative, some are strongly transformational, and some sit alongside the wider Warriors of Light journey. What they share is a commitment to depth, thoughtful guidance, and experiences that continue to echo long after the retreat itself has ended.
Our retreats in Ibiza, Bali and other carefully chosen locations offer time away from the usual pace of life so you can practise, reflect, restore and reconnect. They bring together yoga, teachings, community, nature and nourishing environments to support genuine inner work as well as rest and renewal.
Retreats are ideal if you:
Want to combine practice, travel and deeper self‑inquiry.
Need space to step back from everyday demands and listen more honestly.
Feel ready for a more immersive, transformative environment than a weekend workshop or weekly classs.
Warriors of Light
Warriors of Light is for those who feel drawn to a deeper transformational path through the wisdom of Inca shamanism. Created by Esther, and supported by Debbie, the course is offered in Newcastle and in powerful retreat settings, this work supports healing, self-understanding, sacred leadership, and a more conscious relationship with energy, ceremony, and the patterns that shape a life.
The curriculum unfolds over four paths around the medicine wheel, moving from release and self-healing towards reconnection, expanded perception, and practitioner certification. For some, this is professional training; for others, it is a deeply personal path of remembering, empowerment, and inner change.
Alumni, integration and ongoing support
Deep work doesn’t end when a retreat or training finishes. We’ve built alumni and integration spaces to help you carry what you’ve learnt into everyday life and stay connected to the teachings over time.
For retreat guests and graduates, this includes:
Dedicated alumni spaces inside our online Community / Circle platform or on Whatsapp to make staying in touch easy.
Continuing‑study workshops, book clubs and practice groups that let you keep deepening slowly rather than jumping from intensive to intensive.
