There's a reason this season keeps pulling us to slow down. As the days shorten and summer's momentum finally loses its grip, the body starts asking for something different - less doing, more feeling; less pushing forward, more settling down and in. Most of us override that pull, because the calendar doesn't naturally make room for it. This evening immersion does.
Chris will open the evening with slow, flowing somatic yoga and breathwork - movement paced to let you actually arrive in your body, rather than just onto your mat. From there, the practice deepens into two foundational somatic meditation practices, given the time and space they genuinely need: the 10 Points practice, a body-based meditation that guides your awareness steadily down through the body, and the Earth Descent practice, which extends that awareness further still, down through the body and into real, felt connection with the ground beneath you. Together, they're less about achieving a state and more about finally letting your system do what it's been asking to do all season; settle, descend, and rest into something solid.
Two and a half hours is a real investment of an evening, and that's the point. These are practices that don't fully open up in a 60-minute class, they need room to unfold, and this immersion is built to give them exactly that. If you've felt this season's pull toward slowness and haven't had anywhere to actually take it, this is that place.
No previous experience of somatic practice, breathwork or meditation is necessary. Chris will guide every stage of the evening.
