David
“Chris is a wonderful teacher, trainer and mentor. He has such a vast knowledge and understanding of yoga and everything that it encompasses. He has lived it.
Chris has so much time and patience and a genuine passion for helping get the best out of people. I have turned to him for advice on many occasions since graduating and will no doubt continue to do so and he has always been supportive.”

Eleni
“Chris is an incredible teacher - deeply knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the practice. He created such a welcoming and empowering learning space, where everyone felt supported and challenged in the best way.
Every module built on the last with intention and clarity, and there was a perfect balance between hands-on practice, teaching drills, group discussions, and personal growth. I left the training feeling not only confident and excited to teach, but also deeply inspired as a student. Whether you’re just beginning your yoga journey or expanding your offerings as a teacher, Yoga x Life is the kind of studio that truly supports your growth on every level.”

Heather
“Chris…has created a wonderfully warm space in which to learn and there was never one weekend where I felt overwhelmed or underwhelmed.
From very early on in the course there was a strong element of learning to teach through the opportunity to teach the cohort which I would like to add is also not always part of YTT courses (I did my research) . Collaborative learning is also a huge part of the course; as a group we would regularly create and teach sequences. I have now completed the course and taught 3 classes so far and I can genuinely say that I felt prepared to do so.”

“Training in person felt really important to me and having monthly in person sessions has been wonderful.
The course has been beautifully put together in a way where things have started to sink in gradually and not only teaches you "how to teach" but also encourages self development, builds confidence and is such a calm and supportive environment. I'm so pleased I chose yoga x life for my training”

All Yoga x Life Training Courses are accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
We chose Yoga Alliance Professionals as it distinguishes itself from other yoga accrediting bodies by setting higher teaching standards, demanding extensive experience from trainers, and actively supporting the professional growth of its members.
Unlike other organisations such as Yoga Alliance US, which require as little as two years of teaching experience for lead trainers, Yoga Alliance Professionals requires a minimum of eight years teaching experience and 4,000 hours before someone can apply to lead a foundation teacher training course
-
To join a 200hour foundation training Yoga Alliance Professionals requires 2 years experience of Yoga.
Continuing education modules and workshops can be joined for personal interest without formal requisites.
-
Yes, online trainings and workshops are recognised as continuing education.
Yoga Alliance Differentiates between a workshop and a training. In order for a training to be accredited it must be delivered ‘live’ (either online, or in person) and constitutes a new skill. Workshops are created to build on an existing skill set and can either be delivered ‘live’ or pre-recorded.
We believe the flexibility of a self-paced training is important but not suited to all types of learning and so have carefully selected which modules are delivered in which format to ensure the highest quality information alongside accessibility and affordability.
-
Each course will list formal completion requirements in the curriculum.
All courses are recorded live so that attendees can revisit the content. In cases where a segment is missed it is possible to catch up through a combination of watching the recorded content and support from the course lead.
-
All trainees have lifelong access to the Yoga x Life Trainings graduate hub and maintain access to course materials for a year after the date of completion.
-
Graduates are offered the opportunity to take part in ‘Yoga x Life Introducing’ where they can lead teaching sessions at the Yoga x Life Studio. Introducing Sessions are free to lead, with graduates taking 100% of the donations left.
